Written Report and Component Expectations

Essay Guidelines:
  • Must be grammatically correct and proofread.
  • The introduction should be completed by the due date given by the group leader.
  • Documents must include proper headings with size 12 fonts.
  • The introduction should be no more then two pages in length and contain all numbers necessary for solving the problem.
  • Every writing piece that is constructed throughout the project should include a thesis statement (introduction) to your assignment. A thesis provides better organization and will develop an argument. It will also provide your reader with some guidance as to what you are writing about.

Conclusions
  • Most of the time conclusions are a single paragraph that sums up what happened in the experiment, whether your hypothesis was accepted or rejected, and what this means.

Figures and Graphs
  • Graphs and figures if made must be both labeled and have a descriptive title.

Data
  • Numerical data obtained from the procedure usually is presented in a table, but for this project it will be in a Google doc spreadsheet. This spreadsheet should be viewable by all members, and Erickson. Every piece of mathematical data must be recorded in the spreadsheet.
